GYMNASTICS!

After months of begging and pleading (and backflips off the side of the pool ) we have finally enrolled Jack in gymnastics. He LOVES it so far and is actually very naturally able in this sport. I knew he would be as he is unusually strong for his age and is as fearless as they come. They first week he was with Coach Greg who is a 17 year old. Jack caught on fairly quickly that Greg didn't have the slightest idea how to deal with a bunch of rambuntious 6 year olds in a foam pit and took full advantage. Shortly thereafter, Coach Lubo (who is the boys team coach) was "helping" Greg out and talked with me after the workout. He said in a very thick Russian accent "gymnastics for Jack no problem, that is easy part. I teach boy listening and he becomes great! That is hard part." Coach Lubo asked if I would consider switching Jack to his Pre-team class which we were thrilled about as gymnastics is not cheap and I knew Jack would at least learn something on his way to gymnastic greatness. The first day with Coach Lubo Jack was a little scared to say the least. Watching Jack "power down" and really start paying attention was very rewarding. Lubo is a great Coach and I know if nothing else Jack will learn to listen and be respectful.
